Buick Enclave: StabiliTrak® System. Tire Pressure Monitor. Tire Sealant and Compressor Kit

Buick Enclave 2008-2017 Owners Manual / In Brief / Performance and Maintenance / StabiliTrak® System. Tire Pressure Monitor. Tire Sealant and Compressor Kit

StabiliTrak® System

The vehicle is equipped with a traction control system that helps limit wheel spin and a StabiliTrak system that assists with directional control in challenging driving conditions.

Both systems activate automatically each time the Buick Enclave is started.

► To turn off traction control, press and release Buick Enclave traction control off button with Driver Information Center message located on the instrument panel, and the appropriate DIC message will display. See Ride Control System Messages.

► Press and release Buick Enclave traction control button used to turn the traction control system back on again to turn on the traction control system. The StabiliTrak system remains on.

For more information, see StabiliTrak® System.

Tire Pressure Monitor

This vehicle may be equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS).

Buick Enclave tire pressure monitor warning light for low tire pressure

The TPMS warning light alerts the driver when a significant loss of pressure is detected in one or more tires. If the warning light comes on, stop as soon as it is safe and inflate the tires to the recommended pressure shown on the Tire and Loading Information label. See Vehicle Load Limits. The warning light will remain on until the tire pressure is corrected.

In cooler weather, the low tire pressure warning light may appear when the vehicle is first started and then turn off after driving. This can be an early sign that tire pressures are becoming low and should be checked.

The TPMS does not replace regular monthly tire maintenance. The driver is responsible for keeping all tires inflated to the correct pressure.

See Tire Pressure Monitor System.

Tire Sealant and Compressor Kit

This vehicle may be equipped either with a spare tire and tire changing tools or with a tire sealant and compressor kit.

The tire sealant and compressor kit is intended to temporarily seal small punctures in the tread area, allowing the Buick Enclave to be moved to a safe location or service facility when conditions permit.

See Tire Sealant and Compressor Kit for complete operating instructions.

If the vehicle was supplied with a spare tire and tire changing equipment, see If a Tire Goes Flat.

Regularly checking tire pressure, keeping the parking assist sensors clean, and understanding the stability control indicators can help maintain safer everyday operation of the Buick Enclave.
