Buick Enclave: Power Outlets
The Buick Enclave is equipped with 12-volt power outlets that can be used for compatible electrical accessories, such as a cell phone charger, MP3 player, or other small portable device.
The power outlets are located on the instrument panel below the climate controls, inside the center floor console, at the rear of the center console, and in the rear cargo area. Lift the outlet cover to access the power connection, and replace the cover when the outlet is not in use to help keep the area clean and protected.
WARNING
Power is always supplied to the outlets. Do not leave electrical equipment plugged in when the vehicle is not in use, because the equipment or vehicle could overheat, catch fire, and cause injury or death.
Notice: Leaving electrical equipment plugged in for an extended period while the vehicle is off can drain the battery. Always unplug electrical equipment when it is not being used, and do not connect equipment that exceeds the maximum 20 ampere rating.
Certain accessory plugs may not be compatible with the accessory power outlet and could overload vehicle fuses or adapter fuses. If a problem occurs, see your dealer for service or inspection.
When adding electrical equipment, always follow the proper installation instructions supplied with that equipment. See Add-On Electrical Equipment.
Notice: Hanging heavy equipment from a power outlet can cause damage that is not covered by the vehicle warranty.
The power outlets are designed only for accessory power plugs, such as cell phone charging cords and similar lightweight connectors.
Power Outlet 110 Volt Alternative Current
The vehicle may be equipped with a 110-volt alternating current power outlet that can be used for electrical equipment requiring a maximum of 150 watts.

The 110-volt power outlet is located on the rear of the center console.
An indicator light on the outlet turns on when the outlet is in use. The light comes on when the ignition is in ON/RUN, when equipment requiring less than 150 watts is plugged in, and when no system fault is detected.
If connected equipment requires more than 150 watts, or if a system fault is detected, a protection circuit will shut off the power supply and the indicator light will turn off. To reset the circuit, unplug the item and plug it back in, or turn Retained Accessory Power (RAP) off and then back on. See Retained Accessory Power (RAP). Power will restart when equipment using 150 watts or less is connected and no system fault is detected.
The 110-volt outlet in the Buick Enclave is intended for suitable low-power accessories and may not operate correctly if the following types of equipment are connected:
► Equipment with high initial peak wattage, such as compressor-driven refrigerators, electric power tools, or similar devices.
► Equipment that requires an extremely stable power supply, such as microcomputer-controlled electric blankets, touch sensor lamps, and similar sensitive devices.
