Buick Enclave: Door Locks. Power Door Locks. Delayed Locking
Door Locks
WARNING
Unlocked doors can be dangerous.
► Passengers, especially children, can open unlocked doors and fall from a moving vehicle. When a door is locked, the handle will not open it. The chance of being thrown out of the vehicle during a crash is greater if the doors are not locked. All passengers should wear safety belts properly, and the doors should be locked whenever the vehicle is driven.
► Young children who enter unlocked vehicles may be unable to get out. A child can be overcome by extreme heat and suffer permanent injury or death from heat stroke. Always lock the Buick Enclave whenever leaving it unattended.
► Outsiders can more easily enter through an unlocked door when the vehicle slows down or stops. Locking the doors helps reduce that risk.
To lock or unlock a door manually:
► From inside the vehicle, use the door lock knob on the window sill.
► From outside the vehicle, turn the key toward the front or rear of the vehicle, or press
the
or
button on the Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) transmitter.
Power Door Locks

(Unlock): Press to unlock the doors.
(Lock): Press to lock the doors.
Delayed Locking
When the doors are locked with the power lock switch while a door or the liftgate is still open, the system delays locking until five seconds after the last door or liftgate is closed. Three chimes sound to let you know that delayed locking is active.
Pressing the power lock switch twice, or pressing the lock button on the RKE transmitter twice, cancels the delay and locks all doors immediately.
This feature will not operate while the key is in the ignition.
The delayed locking function can be programmed through the Driver Information Center (DIC). See “DELAY DOOR LOCK” under Vehicle Personalization.
