Press the REAR button on the front climate control system to turn the rear climate control system on or off. When the rear system is active, an indicator light comes on to confirm operation. The rear climate system will also turn on automatically if any of the rear controls are adjusted, so passengers can activate it directly from the rear of the center console.

Mimic Mode: In this mode, the rear climate control follows the same general settings as the front climate control system. Mimic Mode is activated when the REAR button is pressed from the front control panel. Independent Mode: This mode allows the rear seating area to use the rear control settings instead of simply matching the front system. Independent Mode starts when any rear climate control is adjusted. Fan Control: Turn the fan control knob clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the fan speed for the rear seating area. A higher setting provides stronger airflow through the selected outlets, while a lower setting gives a softer and quieter flow of air. Turn the knob to to switch the rear fan off.

Temperature Control: Turn the temperature control clockwise or counterclockwise to raise or lower the temperature of the air delivered to the rear cabin. This control does not need to be moved quickly; small adjustments are often enough to make the rear seating area more comfortable. For best results, allow the system a short period of time to respond after changing the temperature.

Air Delivery Mode Control: Turn the mode control to select where the airflow is directed. The selected mode determines whether air is sent mainly from the overhead vents, the rear floor outlets, or a combination of both. Proper mode selection can improve comfort for second-row and third-row passengers, depending on weather conditions and seating needs.

(Vent): Air is directed through the overhead outlets. This mode is often preferred in warm weather because it sends airflow toward the upper part of the rear cabin, helping cool rear passengers more directly.

(Bi-Level): Air is directed through the rear floor outlets as well as the overhead outlets. This setting provides a more evenly distributed airflow pattern and can be helpful when passengers want both upper-body comfort and some airflow near the lower cabin area.

(Floor): Air is directed through the floor outlets. The rear system floor outlets are located under the third-row seats. This mode is commonly useful in cooler weather because warm air delivered near the floor can help improve comfort around the feet and lower seating area.

For the most comfortable rear-seat experience, keep bags, floor mats, and other objects away from the outlet areas. Blocked vents can reduce airflow and make the rear climate system feel less effective, even when the controls are set correctly.

(Vent): Air is directed through the overhead outlets. This mode is well suited for cooling and for delivering air toward the upper portion of the rear passenger area.

(Bi-Level): Air is directed through the rear floor outlets as well as the overhead outlets. This provides a balanced airflow pattern and can be helpful when the cabin needs both upper and lower air circulation.

(Floor): Air is directed through the floor outlets. The rear system floor outlets are located under the third-row seats. This mode is especially useful when warmer air is needed in the lower part of the rear cabin.

When using the rear climate controls, remember that airflow strength and temperature changes may not feel instant. The system needs a short amount of time to move conditioned air through the ducts and into the rear passenger area. Keeping vents open and clear helps the system perform properly.
